How I Work
My approach to natural healthcare is holistic and individual. I offer homeopathic & Bowen treatments or a combination of both. In addition I can prescribe homeopathic tissue salts & tinctures, Homeobotanical remedies and natural skincare products tailored to individual needs.
Due to current COVID guidelines, appointments for new clients are only available by phone and this means that I am unable to offer Bowen Therapy until the lockdown restrictions are lifted.
If however you are already undergoing treatment then 'in person' appointments may still be possible. Each case needs to be considered on an individual basis so please contact me to discuss.
An initial (first) appointment takes between 1 - 1½ hours giving plenty of time for a full medical history to be taken. It also allows time to discuss how each person would like their treatment to proceed. Follow-up appointments take 45 minutes - 1 hour.
Appointments that do not require physical Bowen treatment can take place by phone. However this very much depends on the nature of the complaint and the suitability of this option will need to be discussed in advance. Frequency of appointments depends on the individual, their symptoms and the level of support they need. This can be discussed fully at the first appointment but as a general rule the following applies:
Homeopathic appointments are normally scheduled 4-6 weeks apart. Bowen treatments are initially at weekly intervals until symptoms are under control. At this point more appointments can be added at less frequent intervals if required. Clients who have discontinued their treatment for a period of 12 months or more may have to be treated as a new case. In such instances a 1½ hour initial appointment will be required.
To discuss if the treatment I offer is suitable for your needs you can book a free 15 minute phone assessment using the button below. Also use the button below to check availability and book initial or follow-up appointments.

Homeopathy is a safe and gentle form of medicine based on the principle of 'like cures like'. In brief, this means that a substance that would cause symptoms in a healthy person when given in a material dose, can be used in a minute amount to cure those same symptoms in illness. Tried and tested for over 200 years, it is one of the most widely practised complementary therapies in the world today and is cited by the House of Lords' Select Committee on Science & Technology as one of the five Group One therapies, having 'an individual diagnostic approach' along with osteopathy, chiropractic, herbal medicine and acupuncture.
Although science cannot yet prove precisely how homeopathy works, the latest advances in quantum physics do go some way towards shedding light on the process. What is known and recognised at the current time is that a carefully selected and properly applied homeopathic remedy acts as a trigger to the body's own natural healing response. For further information and evidence-based research visit the Society of Homeopaths website.
The cost of homeopathic treatment only can be recovered in full or part through some health care providers such as Simply Health, www.simplyhealth.co.uk. You will need to contact them directly for details and please note that I do not receive payment, commission or incentive for bringing their services to your attention.
Bowen Therapy is a gentle, physical technique working primarily on the superficial fascia (a layer of tissue lying just below the skin). This influences muscles, tendons and nerves to induce deep relaxation and allow the body to rebalance and realign itself on many levels.
All sorts of complaints can benefit from Bowen and it is suitable for all ages. Clients come to Bowen Therapy for treatment of back, neck and shoulder pain; knee, ankle and hip problems; migraines and headaches; coughs, colds, asthma and hay fever; IBS & gall bladder complaints: urinary tract infections; sports injuries; and menstrual and menopausal issues.
Bowen Therapy can greatly enhance homeopathic treatment through it's ability to turn off the fight or flight response and reset the body into relax and repair mode thereby allowing a carefully selected homeopathic or Homeobotanical remedy to act to its fullest potential. Anyone suffering from the aches and pains and digestive disturbances related to aging can greatly benefit from Bowen treatment.
Homeobotanical remedies are blended in New Zealand from locally sourced organic and wild-crafted herbs which are potentised to effect a system of healing which can be used with, and to enhance, other complementary therapies. Each remedy has 3 spheres of action - detoxification, stabilisation and nutrition and works with the body's own immune system to stimulate it into action at a cellular level.
With careful case taking a selection of Homeobotanicals can be blended together into an individual prescription for any client, and their use since the early 1980s has proven their safety and efficacy. A client suffering with joint pain, IBS and brain fog, say, will receive a subtly different blend to another individual with the same symptoms but with additional menopausal hot flushes. The possibilities are limitless.
